GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY
The Gynecologic Oncology Division of Wichita Women’s Pelvic Surgery Center provides care for women with known cancer of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vulva, vagina and placenta. In addition, we provide evaluation and treatment of women with pre-cancerous conditions of the reproductive tract and evaluate the risk factors for cancer of the reproductive organs. Doctors Delmore and Morgan are the most experienced robotic surgeons in the region for complex pelvic conditions.
Below are just some of the conditions we evaluate and treat:
Gynecologic Cancer
Cancer of the ovary, cervix, uterus, vulva, vagina and placenta.
Treatments may include radical surgery, laparoscopic surgery, or robotic surgery. Additional treatments may include chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
Pre-cancerous Conditions
Cervix, uterus, vagina, and vulva. Including colposcopy of the genital tract.
Pelvic Mass/
Enlarged Ovary
Evaluation with surgical or non-surgical management.
Menopausal Bleeding
Evaluation with surgical or non-surgical management.
Complex Pelvic Surgery
Open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for complex cases such as severe pelvic endometriosis. Management of complications of cancer treatment involving the bladder, rectum and small intestines.
Evaluation of Familial Cancer Risk
Evaluation of Family History, specifically as relates to cancer of the ovary, breast, colon and uterus. Working closely with a Genetic Counselor when needed to determine which, if any genetic testing is needed.
Risk-reducing Surgery
Prophylactic removal of the tubes, ovaries and uterus in women at an increased risk of developing cancer due to familial or genetic factors.
Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is given in dedicated, private rooms in our office by chemotherapy certified nurses under our direct supervision.
